Wieke Dijkstra

Hockey player Wieke Dijkstra and Plantina Vitamins are soon to start negotiations for a sponsor agreement. Plantina intends to support the Dutch hockey international, who since the summer of 2003 has been a regular player in the Dutch Hockey League for Laren, throughout 2009.

Wieke Dijkstra (Amsterdam, 19 June 1984) is a member of the Dutch national hockey team, and has played many official international matches for the Dutch women’s team. Dijkstra won her first cap on 20 June 2003.  On 22 August 2008, she won a Gold Medal at the Beijing Olympic Games.

Since the summer of 2003, Dijkstra has played in the top Dutch Hockey League for Laren. Previously she played at Groningen, PW, EHV and SCHC. Alongside her hockey career, Dijkstra recently obtained a bachelor’s degree in Administration and Organisation at the University of Utrecht.

Wieke has for some time been taking the Multi and Vitamin C products from Plantina, but in the future will be switching to the full product range, not only the basic supplements but also the energy trio Plantina Ribose, Plantina L-carnitine and Plantina Coenzyme Q10. Finally she takes magnesium for muscle relaxation, good memory and sharp focus.

Wieke Dijkstra is delighted with her new sponsor. “As an elite athlete you place tremendous demands on your body. A healthy diet is a precondition for delivering top performance. The products from Plantina are a supplement to my daily diet and guarantee faster recovery enabling me to perform at my best, every day."
