Jolanda Keizer

Jolanda Keizer is a multitalented sportswoman, active in various disciplines. She seemed headed for the top in sailing, but eventually opted for athletics. Her multi-talent is reflected in her decision to participate in multi-sport events. Outdoors the heptathlon (hurdles, 200 m, 800 m, javelin, shot put, high jump, long jump) and indoors the pentathlon.

After a shared first place in the European Championships under 23 in 2007, she achieved 14th place in her World Championship debut. One year later, she  confirmed her status and growth with a 9th place at the Olympic Games and a personal best. She was the best-performing Dutch Olympic athlete.

In 2009, Jolanda participated in her first indoor competitions. She won the Dutch national title in the Pentathlon and, almost as a sideline, an individual title in the long jump national championship. Her first international success came in March, with a silver medal in the 2009 European Championships.
Jolanda has a clear ambition: to win a medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. On the road to 2012 she faces another global test in August: the World Championships in Berlin.
