Jesse Huta Galung

Jesse Huta Galung (Haarlem, 6 October 1985), is a professional Dutch tennis player. After his time as a junior, Jesse quickly rose to a top 400 placing in the world rankings. In the worldwide ITF ranking (International Tennis Federation) in the under 18 category, Jesse Huta Galung’s best results were number 30 in singles and number 7 in doubles. In February 2006, at the age of 20, he played his debut match for the Dutch Davis Cup team.

2008 was an important year for Jesse. He reached his highest ranking on the ATP list, number 143. He than reached the quarter finals of the main tournament of the Rolland Garros Grand Slam, won the challenger tournament in Scheveningen, reached the semi finals of Aachen and Alphen and the quarter finals at Segovia and Wolfsburg. He also played in the important Davis Cup match against South Korea, which the team won.
