Opt for the easily absorbed form of magnesium
Not only do magnesium and taurine work together, but organically-bonded magnesium, as occurring in magnesium taurinate, can be more easily absorbed in the body than the commonly used magnesium oxide. Magnesium oxide is cheap and easy to process in a supplement and therefore popular. However, magnesium oxide is unsuitable as a source of magnesium, because it is hardly absorbed by the body.

Description
Magnesium taurinate is a compound of the mineral magnesium with the sulphur-bearing amino acid taurine.
Form of administration and dosage
Tablet with 150 mg magnesium and 600 mg taurine (as magnesium taurinate).
List of ingredients
Magnesium taurinate, filling agent (dicalcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose), glazing agents (magnesium stearate, carnauba wax), stabiliser (silicon dioxide), hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, glycerol.
Does not contain the following allergens (according to annex 3-bis of EU Directives 2003/a9/EC and 2006/142/EC; and updates)
Gluten-bearing grains (wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt, kamut), eggs, fish, groundnuts (peanuts), soya, milk (including lactose), nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashew nuts, pecan nuts, brazil nuts, pistachio nuts and macadamia nuts), celery, mustard, sesame seed, sulphur dioxide and sulphite (more than 10 mg sulphur dioxide per kilo or litre), lupin, crustaceans and molluscs.
