Why Plantina Coenzyme Q10?
Coenzyme Q10 is not only a powerful antioxidant but is above all vital for the energy supply to all body cells, especially those of heart and muscles. Coenzyme Q10 supplies the ATP, the chemical storage form of energy, with the necessary electrons. It is important that the heart of people young and old always has access to sufficient coenzyme Q10. For elite athletes to deliver a top performance, and for older people even for day-to-day activities.

Is Plantina Coenzyme Q10 safe?
Kaneka Q10 has been used worldwide for more than 25 years. In 2006, a further study was carried out on human beings, on the basis of which a dosage of 900 mg per day was identified as entirely safe. Coenzyme Q10 is amongst the so-called ‘GRAS’ substances: Generally Recognised As Safe, the safest label a substance can obtain. Plantina Coenzyme Q10 is listed in the Dutch Security System Food Supplements Top Athletes (NZVT). It is also tested by the Sporthochschule in Cologne and TNO.

D-ribose, L-carnitine and coenzyme Q10. Which of the three?
The three substances work together, each with their own specific function. It is therefore not possible to clearly determine which substance or combination should be taken by preference. The general recommendation, for a maintenance dose, is to opt for L-carnitine (certainly for vegetarians) and/or coenzyme Q10. For active people (sport), D-ribose is the preferred substance.

What is Kaneka Q10?
The raw material used for Plantina Coenzyme Q10 is Kaneka-Q10. The Plantina Coenzyme Q10 contains the fermented form. This form is identical to the Q10 occurring naturally in the body (all-trans; no synthetic cis-isomer). Kaneka, Japan, is the only company in the world capable of producing this form of coenzyme Q10.
