L-carnitine

Delivers energy for improved fat burning
Above all if the sugar metabolism is not performing perfectly, Plantina L-carnitine helps to normalise the energy metabolism by improving fat burning. In the body cells, L-carnitine transports the fuel (long chain fatty acids) to the point where energy is generated. For this reason, L-carnitine is known in the sports world as a fat burner, and helps athletes to loose several kg to reach the target weight for a specific weight class.

L-carnitine

L-carnitine: energy for the heart and muscles
Because the muscles and the heart are heavily dependent for their fuel on the long-chain fatty acids, L-carnitine is an essential link in the energy supply. Wherever physical effort has to be delivered, Plantina L-carnitine is a useful food supplement. It helps in periods of fatigue and stress, particularly in older age.

For vegetarians, and one of the age essentials
Because animal products are the most important source of L-carnitine, Plantina L-carnitine is above all an important food supplement for vegetarians. As we get older, the quantity of L-carnitine in tissues and organs falls considerably. Plantina L-carnitine helps to top up the supply and is therefore one of the age essentials (substances which become more necessary the older we become because the human body is increasingly incapable of producing these substances for itself).

Why Plantina L-carnitine?

L-carnitine is an essential link in the energy supply to all body cells, above all the heart and muscles. It ensures that the most important fuel for the cells arrives at the location where the energy is generated. For that reason, the heart of people young and old must always have sufficient L-carnitine. For elite athletes to deliver a top performance, and for older people, even for normal day-to-day activities.

Is Plantina L-carnitine safe?

Plantina L-carnitine can be taken entirely safely. L-carnitine is one of the so-called 'GRAS' substances: Generally Recognised As Safe, the safest label a substance can be given.

D-ribose, L-carnitine and coenzyme Q10. Which of the three?

The three substances work together, each with their own specific function. It is therefore not possible to clearly determine which substance or combination should be taken by preference. The general recommendation, for a maintenance dose, is to opt for L-carnitine (certainly for vegetarians) and/or coenzyme Q10. For active people (sport), D-ribose is the preferred substance.

Is Plantina L-carnitine suitable for vegans?

Plantina L-carnitine contains no animal products and can be taken by vegans.
