Research: busy women benefit from multivitamin supplement

14 March 2011 - Women who work and take care of their children are fitter and perform better if they take a multivitamin supplement, according to a British study.

For this study, 216 women aged between 25 and 50 years were divided into a supplement and a placebo group. The women were employed full-time and were responsible for caring for their children. They took a multivitamin or placebo for a period of 2 months.

The women from the supplement group were less fatigued and showed better mood patterns as compared to the other women. They were also able to simultaneously undertake multiple tasks – so-called multitasking – faster and more accurately.
