Bronze medal for Carola Uilenhoed

11 September 2005 - On the final day of the Judo World Championships in Cairo, Carola Uilenhoed obtained a surprise bronze medal in the open class.

She defeated her opponent Bozhilova within one minute, with a full one-point throw. This victory far exceeded the objective the doctor’s assistant from The Hague had set herself for the competition, namely a place in the top seven.
