Edith van Dijk wins world cup

11 September 2005 - Edith van Dijk won the world cup competition for open water swimming, in Ismailia.

This victory guaranteed the long-distance swimmer overall victory in the world cup rankings. Van Dijk is currently completing her final year of competition. Earlier this year she won two gold and one bronze medal at the Montreal World Championships.
